This unit will guide you through the process of creating a picture of the local community. You will be asked to search for information about the community and record this information on your worksheet.

Learning Objectives:
- Have an approach to increasing your knowledge of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture
- Understand the importance of identifying and communicating with leaders of the community
- Develop an approach to providing appropriate community-focused health care
- Share your experiences of cultural differences that have impacted on you personally and/or professionally
- Use a worksheet to build a personal resource that will enhance your cultural safety in the workplace and community
