Developing Clinicians as Leaders (DCAL)

Developing clinicians as leaders is a collection of online health service leadership CPD courses designed specifically for Australian healthcare professionals. The 30 online short courses target the hot topics of leadership, management, workforce development, innovation and change, and quality and safety.

Courses are approximately 10 hours in duration and most are accredited by the RACGP QA&CPD program for 40 Category 1 points on completion of each course. Courses are available online, 24/7.

The short courses have been developed by The University of Queensland, in association with Queensland Health, national experts and stakeholders.    DCAL short courses are modules of courses within The University of Queensland and are part of an academic pathway to the higher degree programs listed below:

  • Master of Health Science (Clinical Leadership)
  • Graduate Certificate in Health Sciences

For those wishing to gain recognition for short course learning for the purposes of continuing onto a higher degree program with UQ, an Academic Pack must be purchased and completed.
